Thank you for visiting pressandpromotion.com. My name is Adam Brown, owner and president. I started this company in 2008 to produce professional materials that improve communication dynamics between businesses, customers, clients, members of the media and the general public.
I have always had a passion for the written word. One of my earliest memories was being selected to attend the Young Author's Conference in the first and second grade while poring over several books a week. Writing and presentation seemed to come naturally, and I've always gained a tremendous amount of satisfaction in crafting words on a page to convey fact, insight and emotion. The written word is like visual art or song in that you can change everything by moving one word or note or changing a color. Each piece is a living, breathing animal that is never truly finished.
While attending Western Washington University, I was a tutor at the on-campus Writing Center, where I learned techniques and taught other students how to write with clear focus and concise structure. I was also the treasurer of the campus Public Relations Organization. I graduated from Western with a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Journalism, honing print media chops with news, opinion and feature articles published in The Western Front newspaper, Klipsun Magazine and The Planet Magazine.
After college, I wrote music reviews and band profiles in Bellingham's alternative monthly What's Up! Magazine while at the same time gaining experience as Director of Communication for a small nonprofit fundraising company. I balanced this new career with a love for music, playing guitar in several different bands over the years.
Since moving back down to the Seattle area, I've held positions as Marketing Copy Writer, Marketing Communications Manager, Technical Writer and Content Manager for several established software, music and technology companies in the region.
In 2007, I became Media Director for nonprofit group Save Our Sonics, a grassroots cause dedicated to saving the Seattle SuperSonics in the Seattle region. After the Sonics tragically left for Oklahoma City in 2008, I co-founded the Seattle SuperSonics Historical Preservation Society in order to expose the scandalous truth behind the team's exodus from Seattle and produced the Webby Award winning feature documentary film Sonicsgate: Requiem For A Team.
The philosophies of Malcolm Gladwell inspired me to start this company. In order to achieve success, we must dive wholeheartedly into our goals and be ready to seize opportunities as they emerge. It is crucial to recognize the broader context in which we live on a daily basis in order to make our desired impressions on the world.

Adam Brown
